Water→Track→Water

Our history

Racing has always been part of the family.

The categories have changed, but the principles have not. Every era has added knowledge, people and experience to the team that races today.

01

The beginning

Family foundations · Ski racing

John and Marg Kelly enter ski racing.

The family’s racing story began on the water. John and Marg Kelly’s ski racing years established the competitive instinct, practical preparation and close teamwork that would carry through every chapter that followed.

02

The next chapter

Experience · Preparation · Family

A family culture grows around racing.

What started as competition became a lasting family pursuit. Time on the water built experience across boats, equipment and race-day execution—and passed an appetite for performance from one generation to the next.

03

Supercars era

Professional motorsport · Supercars

From the water to elite motorsport.

The Kelly family’s years in Supercars took that racing mindset into one of Australia’s most demanding professional categories. Engineering, operations and teamwork were tested at the highest level, adding a new depth of experience to the family story.

04

Return to ski racing

A new generation · Ski racing

Back to where the story began.

A return to ski racing reconnected the family with the water, now supported by years of experience in professional competition. The same focus remained: prepare thoroughly, work as one and keep finding performance.

05

Today

Australian offshore racing

Mojo Offshore.

Today, that history comes together in Mojo Offshore. The team brings generations of water racing and professional motorsport experience to the Australian Offshore Superboat Championship, carrying the Kelly family’s racing story forward.
